Acne Home Remedies - Free Acne Treatments

by Nick Mutt

A right acne treatment can begin from your kitchen. There are several vegetables and fruits which can be used to cure acne. Some people are not convinced with the effectiveness of home treatments for acne. So first you should know what the actual cause of acne is?

Acne is the result of the lack of vital vitamins like Vitamin E, Vitamin A and Pantothenic Acid. Deficiency in these vitamins leads to the growth of bacteria that clogs the skin oil. This in turn leads to acne. Most of the medicines try to replenish the essential vitamins, which can be easily got by filling your diet with vegetable and fruits containing those vitamins.

Diet containing green vegetables and fresh fruits can do wonder in your efforts to cure your acne. Skin reflects what is happening inside the body. Avoiding junk and processed food to a large extend can be very useful in the treatment of acne. If followed strictly, change in dietary habits can be the best treatment for acne.

Keeping the skin clean is also an important part in the acne treatment. Cleaning the skin with lemon is an effective acne treatment. Lemon is used for several purposes mainly due to the presence of citric acid. The citric acid has several essential properties required to kill the harmful bacteria. Rub lemon on your skin before going to sleep and you will find a clear skin in the morning. Similarly, you can get rid of acne scars by applying tomato slice. Applying garlic on the spots is another effective homemade acne treatment. Mint juice also can remove skin lesions and scars.

Apply a paste of sandalwood and fresh basil leaves on the affected area to get rid of acne naturally. The clogging of the skin oil which leads to acne is caused by particular bacteria. Applying witch hazel after washing of the face and shower can eliminate the harmful bacteria.

Other homemade acne treatments include applying the paste of orange peels. This paste cleans the skin and fights harmful bacteria. Application of raw papayas can also bring relief to acne. Daily application of tea tree oil, coconut oil, lavender oil and jojoba oil before bathing for an hour can reduce acne. Drink at least 8-10 glasses of water to flush. Another effective treatment for acne is applying a paste of crushed strawberry leaves.

Heal Skin Naturally With Serious Acne Naturist Treatment

by Edward Chen

Teenagers and adults plagued by acne on the face and other body parts are advised to try serious acne naturist solutions before using anything else. Commercial and medical acne treatments can be too intense for your sensitive skin. Most of them even contain dangerous antibiotics that produce adverse side effects. Naturist treatment involves treating your acne with natural ingredients.

The most common skin problem today is acne vulgaris. This group of diseases includes whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, and cysts. Severe acne can scar the face. And such scars can only be treated with laser therapy and Retin-A based drugs. Acnes are the biggest problems of teens, although a good number of adults suffer from it as well.

Here are some serious naturist modes of treatment to help heal skin problems like acne fast:

1. Exercise

Exercising daily helps in keeping your body's blood circulation operate better. If blood freely flows through the veins, a healthy immune system is achieved. Furthermore, the energy you gain from exercise can help boost your confidence and physical fitness.

2. Hormones

Hormones are usually the suspect for acne breakouts. Changes in one's hormonal level can trigger flare-ups. However, this can be prevented by taking natural supplements like vitamins and minerals to bring back your body's hormonal levels within normal.

3. Maintain a clean and clear skin

Never scrub your skin especially if you suffer from a severe case of acne. Doing so would further damage your skin and cause flare-ups. Instead, use an exfoliating scrub to gently remove dirt and dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Clean your face and skin properly, preferable twice everyday. Use a mild, acne-fighting soap every morning and during the night. Go for unscented products as your skin might be sensitive to the fragrance used on the product.

4. Eat a nutritious diet

Certain food items can help greatly in maintaining your skin's health and prevent breakouts. Eat 2 to 5 servings of fresh fruits and vegetables daily. Fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants and nutrients that can help repair the damages sustained by your skin. Taking foods rich in sulphur are also advised because they can help greatly in facilitating the natural treatment of acne. Don't forget to drink 8 to 10 glasses of water daily to remove toxins out of your body.

5. Use of natural remedies and treatments

There are natural ingredients sold in health stores that can help exfoliate the skin. They are also helpful in treating large pores, blemishes, blackheads, pimples, and whiteheads. The can also reduce scarring, fine lines, dark spots, and sun-damaged skin. Good examples of natural remedies for skin care are evening primrose oil, black currant seed oil, calendula, Echinacea, tea tree oil, and goldenseal. Lavender and chamomile can help in addressing stress-triggered acne breakouts. Other herbs you can use as a tea are yellow dock, sarsaparilla, cleavers, and burdock. Honeysuckle can also be used alternately. Natural enzymes and antioxidants may also help. Aloe Vera is a popular plant that can help restore the skin's lost beauty.

Natural Acne Treatments

by Vivian W.

Everyone at one time or another has had a pimple or blemish. Sometimes this has been a result of using a product that reacted poorly with our skin; such as lotions and cosmetics. For some it happens because they forgot to wash their face. These conditions can obviously be avoided to prevent a breakout.

What about the people who have chronic acne who cant avoid the acne simply by avoiding certain products or washing their face more often? Many of these people turn to harsh prescription and over the counter drugs. Many of these medications dry out the skin often resulting in worse acne.

Often the reason that these people turn to these often harmful cures is that they don't know that they can use natural treatments to effectively treat their acne. Using natural and herbal cures to treat acne has been going on for hundreds of years. Often with technology surging us forward we forget that sometimes simple methods often work just as well if not better then more complex ones.

Natural and herbal remedies give acne sufferers a safe and effective way to treat their problem. The majority of pharmaceutical medicines have side effects; many have serious possible side effects. With natural cures you have a lesser chance of side effects. In fact most natural cures have little to no side effects if used properly.

If that is'nt enough, when you treat your acne with many natural remedies you are treating both the acne and the cause of the acne. The herbs that are taken and used to treat your acne also provide nutrients and cleansing.

There are many different herbs and natural ingredients that can be used to treat acne. Herbal cortisone is an effective treatment for acne. It is similar to cortisone but doesnt have the side effects. Tea tree oil is another natural cure that is effective in treating acne. This treatment has the same effect as peroxide but at a lesser intensity; which makes it cause less dryness.
The omega-3 oils that are most commonly found in fish and other sea food are a great way to prevent acne; as well, as being a great healthy source of nutrients. Keep in mind that not all oils are the same and many are bad for you. These include vegetables and partially hydrogenated oils.

Another natural treatment that is fast becoming a popular acne treatment is zinc. Zinc is a mineral that aids in the fight against clogged pores. As most people know clogged pores are one of the main culprits of acne.

Certain forms of zinc can help to balance hormones that are causing acne. It can also help to encourage the skin to heal itself and clear up acne.

It doesnt matter how many acne medications that you have tried and had no luck with, you can still benefit from the use of natural and herbal remedies. Even if your acne medication does work trying natural treatments may benefit your skin and your overall health.

Acne and its treatment

Acne is a menace. However, it’s not something that cannot be tackled. There are loads of acne skin care products around. We can classify acne skin care products into

3 broad categories –

* Preventive or general acne skin care products

* Over-the-counter, specialised acne skin care products

* On-prescription acne skin care products.

The general acne skin care products are the ones that are used as acne-prevention measure. These include cleansers, make-up removers and similar products that help prevent acne. In the real sense, these acne skin care products are just those that should anyway be part of your daily routine. However, some of these are more oriented to act like an acne skin care product. These acne skin care products act against the causes of acne e.g. limiting the production of sebum/oil and preventing clogging of skin pores. Basically, these acne skin care products prevent the oil from getting trapped in pores and hence hamper the growth of bacteria that lead to acne. The general acne skin care products also include exfoliation products like skin peels. These work towards removing dead skin cells, hence reducing the possibility of pore-clogging and bacteria development.

Then there are specialised acne skin care products that are available over-the-counter i.e. without the need of a prescription. These include products like vanishing creams which extract the extra oil from the skin. Most of these acne skin care products are based on benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, both of which are the enemies of bacteria (and hence acne). You should start with a product that has lower concentration of benzoyl peroxide (e.g. 5%) and see how your skin responds to it. Alpha-hydroxy-acid based moisturizers are also popular as acne skin care products. You might have to try a few, before you zero-in on the acne skin care product that is effective for you. If nothing seems to work, you should contact a dermatologist.

On-prescription acne skin care products are the ones that are prescribed by a dermatologist. This can include ointments that can be applied on the affected area or oral antibiotics or just any topical treatment. Dermatologist could also suggest a minor surgical procedure to remove the contents of pustules. However, never try to squeeze or do this by yourself, it can lead to permanent damage of your skin. Your doctor could also prescribe a hormone-based treatment (since hormonal changes are also known to cause acne). Such acne skin care products are known to be very effective in some cases. So, with all those acne skin care products, tackling acne is not that difficult.

Acne skin care

Acne skin care should really start much before the acne actually appears. ‘Acne skin care’ is more about being proactive than reactive. Acne skin care is about being aware of preventive measures. Acne skin care is - following daily skin care routines with complete discipline. So let’s have a look at how ‘acne skin care’ can be applied to our daily routine.

‘Acne skin care’ starts with the most basic thing - cleanliness. So morning showers are the most basic way of keeping the skin clean. In fact, a lot of people take night showers too (that not only helps in keeping your skin clean but also provides relaxation to your body and enables a good sleep). If you are living in a hot and/or humid place, a night shower becomes a must. In fact, a shower is recommended after any activity that causes high levels of sweat to develop. It’s a very effective ‘acne skin care’ technique.

However, acne skin care is not about just showers. Acne skin care is also about wearing clean clothes and sleeping on clean pillows. Moreover, too tight clothes can cause sweat to accumulate quickly; so soft and comfortable cotton clothes are recommended, especially if you already have acne. In the same sense, ‘acne skin care’ also advocates regular cleaning of your make-up brush and any equipment that you use on your body.

Besides that, you should also use a mild, water-soluble, oil-free and soap-free cleanser for keeping your face, neck and arms clean. Cleansing is the most important part of any acne skin care routine. Cleaners are the easiest and the most effective way of removing dirt, grease, pollutants and excess oil from your skin; thus reducing the probability of acne occurrence. Acne skin care also recommends removing your make up using a make up remover, and this should happen before you go to bed (not in the morning).

If you already have acne, do not try to touch them or squeeze them; it can lead to permanent scars. ‘Acne skin care’ advocates gentle cleansing and cleaning of the affected area using an over-the-counter medication and a clean/soft cotton pad. There are various acne skin care creams and lotions available over-the-counter (a lot of these acne skin care products are actually cleansers). However, if these ‘acne skin care’ measures don’t give you the desired results, contact a dermatologist for ‘acne skin care’ advice and treatment.

Acne Cures

by John Spada

Acne Cures: Is there a Natural Acne Cure that Works?

Are there natural acne cures that work or is it a new age myth? Is there a permanent cure for acne or are all acne sufferers sentenced to the Sisyphean battle of tackling the on the surface symptoms? Is there an honest, natural and safer alternative to the endless use of over the counters and to the nasty side effects inflicted by conventional drugs, creams and topical acne treatments?

Most dermatologists and other western medicine followers have already answered that controversial question by claiming that acne, among other diseases simply cannot be cured.
There are 2 reasons for that:

1. Most dermatologists don't even know what the real cause of acne is. It's amazing but true. They are highly familiar with the symptoms of acne and they specialize in tackling the 'on the surface' symptoms, but unfortunately they cannot tell you what the internal conditions are that cause your acne to form in the first place. If you don't believe me just ask your dermatologist.

2. Most doctors work in conjunction with the pharmaceutical and drug companies and the latter is not motivated, so to speak, at discovering a cure for Acne or Aids or Cancer - simply because hundreds of millions of dollars have been spent on finding treatments for the symptoms of diseases. Why? simply because their global aim is to make more profit by creating consumer dependency. By applying medications and creams that deal merely with the symptoms while ignoring the source or the internal cause of the disease, acne will never be cured. The average acne sufferer will become more and more reliant on drugs that temporarily calm the symptoms and that means steady income for the drug and pharmaceutical companies.

There's a lovely metaphor describing acne among other chronic diseases and the way modern medicine deals with these afflictions: If you manage to kill all the mosquitoes around a stale pond using chemicals, for a little while there will be no mosquitoes.

But since the source of the problem (what causes the mosquitoes to appear) is still there the stale, disgusting pond where mosquitoes can find food and fertile ground for laying their eggs mosquitoes will always come back!

The same thing happens with your acne!

Without eliminating the source of your acne condition, you will never get rid of your acne. Without fixing the internal problem that is causing your acne, you may find temporary relief, but your acne will always come back until you do something fundamental to eradicate the cause from within...until you make the pond (your body or internal system) a place where mosquitoes cannot exist.

Ultimately, every disease results from a breakdown within your body. All major diseases and chronic conditions are warning signs of something very fundamentally wrong inside. Deepak Chopra refers to this as "The violation of simple laws of nature that make our body function."
The very surprising truth is that you are lucky for having acne. Let me explain...Acne, like constant headaches, irritable bowel syndrome or dandruffs is only a small message from your body that something is wrong internally and should be addressed and corrected.
Now, there are two choices you can make - you can:

1.Ignore that message - big mistake! The internal imbalance that caused your acne will, in most cases, turn into a chronic condition. Now instead of just having acne you'll start having other hormonal imbalance or toxic overload related symptoms in addition to acne. Because the internal problem is not fixed, the disease symptoms get more and more intense.

2.Listen to your body and start fixing the internal problem that causes your acne to appear in the first place; you will not only get rid of your acne you will also achieve beautiful, healthy, even toned clear skin complexion, re-balance your body and prevent future hormonal or toxic overload related conditions.

The simple truth is...you are out of balance. We now live a 'far-from-natural' lifestyle. There are over 300 synthetic industrial chemicals present in our bodies that did not exist 50 years ago. We are filled with toxins from the food, and medication we ingest and use.

By fixing the internal condition that causes your acne in addition to adopting a healthy lifestyle (healthy diet & mindset, cleanse & detoxify, hormonal balancing etc.) you will put your body back into balance holistically - your acne will cease to exist and you feel as healthy and attractive as ever!

It doesn't matter what type of acne you have. Whether you suffer from: acne vulgaris, acne Conglobata, acne Rosacea, Acne Fulminans, Blackheads, Whiteheads, Papules, Pustules, Nodules or Cysts: The principles required to cure your acne are basically the same. The "holistic" ways of treating people have been around for thousands of years, and they absolutely work whether you have teen or adult acne; whether you suffer from acne on your back, shoulders or chest or if you suffer from female related acne such as menopause acne or acne due to monthly cycles.

Whatever your acne condition is, when you finally decide to stop making the same acne treatment mistakes that have been holding you back and begin applying the holistic approach to curing acne, you can literally choose to become clear and stay clear. You will have the power to make it happen.

Using Unconventional Ways to Cure Acne

by Aisha A

We are all aware of the conventional acne treatments following under two main categories: oral acne treatments like antioxidants and other acne-control pills, and rub-on acne treatments like creams and lotions. But did you know that there are some unconventional ways of curing acne as well? Let's find out what these methods are and whether they are effective or not.

A method that is quickly gaining in popularity is laser acne treatment. It is a painful and expensive procedure which might not be suitable for all people. It is best to adopt laser treatment if you have an age-old acne problem along with scarring and also if you can afford it.

A thermal treatment for acne which can be applied at home is also an unconventional way for curing pimples. Take a hot wet towel dipped in boiling water and place it over affected areas or pimples one by one for about 2 to 3 minutes. This procedure helps to kill the bacteria and cure pimples without having to use any pills or topical creams and lotions. Although it's an easy-to-follow method, it does not guarantee complete acne treatment.

Last but certainly not the least, a revolutionary product for the treatment of acne has been recently introduced to the market which is not like any of the traditional methods - the Zeno acne clearing device. This device uses thermal technology to get rid of pimples in a matter of hours. The device works well on pustules in their very early stage.

Zeno is good for those who want to get rid of pimples quickly. It is the fastest known acne treatment to date. However, it should be known that this device does not work very well for the treatment of blackheads and whiteheads. It's a one-time investment product which will cure your pimples whenever they appear on the face or any other part of the body.

What is Acne Serious Naturist Treatment?

by Aisha A

A lot of people look for information about acne serious naturist treatment. But what it really is, nobody knows. I think it refers to a natural acne treatment that does not involve taking pills or even applying rub-on creams for curing pimples.

Some people tell you that acne serious naturist treatment is some product which is available over the counter and has been advertised abundantly in newspapers and on TV and internet. Others brag about a system of products that consist of a number of beauty products that according to them come under the category of naturist treatments.

When I searched online for a clear definition of what naturist means, I did not find any. But there are a lot of resources available on acne serious naturist treatment. These treatments are nothing new; in fact the old treatments have been given a new name just to confuse the reader. Do not fall into their trap.

I wonder who came up with this phrase acne naturist treatment and spread it over the internet to perplex innocent acne sufferers who start thinking it is some kind of a revolutionary treatment that will clear away their pimples in a matter of days.

Be aware that there is no single acne serious naturist treatment. You may want to try some topical or rub-on treatments and even acne control pills available out there. If they have proven to be effective for you, it is perfect. You can also try some unconventional acne treatments available out there like the Zeno acne clearing device, other thermal devices and even laser treatment.

The point being: do not pay attention to the hype created by this single phrase: acne serious naturist treatment or acne naturist treatment. Just do what your heart tells you is the right thing and avoid scammers.

Causes of Acne

Acne develops as a result of blockages in follicles. The formation of a plug of keratin and sebum is the earliest change.

Enlargement of sebaceous glands and an increase in sebum production occur with increased androgen (DHEA-S) production at adrenarche. The microcomedo may enlarge to form an blackhead or whitehead.

In these conditions the naturally occurring largely commensual bacteria Propionibacterium acnes can cause inflammation, leading to inflammatory lesions (papules, infected pustules, or nodules) in the dermis around the microcomedo or comedo, which results in redness and may result in scarring or hyperpigmentation

Primary causes

Exactly why some people get acne and some do not is not fully known. It is known to be partly hereditary.

Several factors are known to be linked to acne:

Family/Genetic history. The tendency to develop acne runs in families. For example, school-age boys with acne often have other members in their family with acne as well. A family history of acne is associated with an earlier occurrence of acne and an increased number of retentional acne lesions.

Hormonal activity, such as menstrual cycles and puberty. During puberty, an increase in male sex hormones called androgens cause the glands to get larger and make more sebum.

Stress, through increased output of hormones from the adrenal (stress) glands, although modern tests have said otherwise and point to this not being a cause.

Acne Vulgaris

Acne is most common during adolescence, affecting more than 85% of teenagers, and frequently continues into adulthood.

For most people, acne diminishes over time and tends to disappear—or at the very least decrease—after one reaches his or her early twenties.

There is, however, no way to predict how long it will take to disappear entirely, and some individuals will continue to suffer well into their thirties, forties and beyond.
Acne is defined as a diseased condition of the skin that involves the hair and oil glands. It is characterised by pimples, black/white heads, reddishness and cysts. Face acne can spoil your appearance to a great extent and body acne can really ruin your day by making you very uncomfortable. Considering acne as a minor problem, some people tend to totally discard the topic of ‘Acne skin care’. However, the importance of ‘Acne skin care’ cannot be undermined in any way.
